For residential lawn mowing equipment, the “Tango”line is a fast growing category for the European market. This evolution of the current Tango machine maintains its existing chassis, while integrating new components such as a pair of forward-seeing sensors that improve the machine’s navigational skills. The design of a new cover allowed us to explore an “autonomous design” language that could be implemented into future robotic operations within the John Deere portfolio. For the development of the A-surfaces, we were directly involved with engineering teams in order to lay out ideal location for critical components while guiding the next-gen design language.
